Hello, I’m Barry Yellets, Head of School at Citrus Park Christian School. I am so excited about all God has done and is doing to help us guide our students in their educational goals based on the viewpoint of the Truth of His Word. In the past 35 years we have seen our students excel in their walk with Christ in daily classes, in academic and fine arts events, and in athletic competitions. Our graduates have gone on to do amazing things in college and in their adult lives. It gives us great joy to witness what they have accomplished as a result of the spiritual and academic foundation they received at CPCS.

In an effort to continue this successful Christian education model for current and future students, the CPCS Board of Trustees is moving forward to relocate the school to another property to enhance and expand the school’s ability to meet our students’ needs in an even greater way. I am so pleased to announce to you that we have a fully executed purchase contract on our future site at 8910 South Mobley Road. These 21 acres will allow us to build a secure state-of-the-art facility that will include advancements in technology and enough space for a gymnasium and athletic fields.

As a nonprofit ministry, CPCS relies on the donations of our families, faculty and staff, administration, school board, and area businesses. A project of this magnitude cannot be supported by parental tuition alone. We are asking you to consider donating financially to this project so that we may continue educating and inspiring our students. This project will take the efforts and support of all of us. Please consider giving generously to this project to help us grow our thriving Christian school ministry by giving a tax-deductible donation. Our mission is truly more than bricks, it is building a foundation

We are excited to share with you what God is accomplishing through the 8910 Project.

Here are the recent blessings we have received:

  1. Planned Development has been submitted and accepted.
  2. Survey completed.
  3. A Traffic study has been submitted using a roundabout and an additional traffic study has been submitted using a turn lane, both as requested by the county and positive for the school.
  4. A Light photometric design is required and has been initiated.

CPCS has received positive feedback.  This project in its entirety will take all of our involvement to complete.  As we continue to strive together, we are setting an April/May goal to reach $100,000.00.  For this specific goal $6,000.00 has already been donated. Look for the thermometer tomorrow in carline.

By working together, we can accomplish this! We appreciate your prayers and participation as we connect children and families to Christ’s love and hope through Christian education.  We look forward to this project impacting other children with the Gospel of Christ.

We are looking for partners who want to help the children of Tampa, and beyond, have a better alternative for education with smaller class sizes and teachers that support the cause of the school. Would you be willing to donate?
