Community Service
Citrus Park Christian School endeavors to foster in its students a concern
and willingness to help those in need both at school and within the community.
CPCS students participate in many different community and mission projects each
year such as:
- Bags for Roatan: Gifts and toiletries
are collected and sent to the children on the island of Roatan, Honduras.
- Christmas for Wimauma: Christmas gifts
(toys, food and clothing) are purchased and distributed to the children of
workers at the migrant camps in Wimauma.
- Hope Christian Academy, Nairobi, Kenya:
Helping to provide meals for underprivileged children attending Hope Christian
Academy.
- Hope Children's Home, Tampa Florida:
Planned activities and outreach to the children at Hope Children's Home.
In the secondary division, community service is a part of the graduation requirements.
Students in grades 9-12 are required to complete 30 hours of community service
each year of attendance.
