IS THE SCHOOL ACCREDITED?
Citrus Park Christian School (CPCS) is a non-denominational Christian school serving students in preschool Kindergarten 3 through grade 12. CPCS is registered as a non-public school, accredited through the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (FACCS) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). FACCS is recognized by the National Council for Private School Accreditation (NCPSA) and the Florida Association of Academic Non-public Schools (FAANS).
HOW DO I APPLY?
The process begins with a tour and interview with the Administrator/Principal. The application process is complete after testing and submitting the application package, health forms and birth certificate, and appropriate enrollment fees. All K3 students must be 3 by September 1st and fully potty trained to be accepted. All K4 students must be 4 years old by September 1st to be accepted. All K5 students must be 5 years old by September 1st to be accepted.
WILL MY CHILD HAVE TO BE TESTED?
Entrance tests will be administered to new applicants entering 2nd grade and above.
Readiness tests will be administered to students entering Kindergarten 4 and 5.
WHO ARE YOUR TEACHERS?
Faculty members hold degrees and credentials from some of the finest colleges and universities in the United States. Each teacher is a dedicated Christian committed to the task of teaching "Every Subject in the Light of God's Word" and the philosophy of CPCS. All teachers are required to be certified through the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (FACCS).
WHAT CURRICULUM DO YOU USE?
Using Christian curriculum that presents material from a Biblical worldview is of utmost importance to the administration at CPCS. Also important is an academically challenging and rigorous curriculum that ensures the highest level of learning. Careful consideration is made in choosing quality curriculum without compromising Christian philosophy. A Beka Curriculum, Bob Jones Press, Glencoe, Houghton-Mifflin are the most commonly used curricula at CPCS.
WHAT ARE YOUR SCHOOL HOURS?
Grades 6th through 12th regular school hours are from 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. For 1st grade through 5th Grade, regular school hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. K3 and K4 have the option of half day pick-up at 12:00 p.m. or extended day until 3:00 p.m. (VPK hours 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.). Kindergarten 5 has the option of 12:30 p.m. pick-up or extended day at 3:00 p.m.
DO YOU PROVIDE BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CARE?
This is a service for Kindergarten 3 through 6th Grade students (7th and 8th Grade students upon request and approval of administration) and is offered Monday through Friday (holidays excluded). Hours of operation are 6:30 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
WHAT IS THE STUDENT/TEACHER RATIO?
K3: Maximum of 13 students with an aide
K4: Maximum of 18 students with an aide
K5: Maximum of 18 students with an aide
1-5: Maximum of 23 students
6-12: Maximum of 26 students
DO YOU WEAR UNIFORMS?
All students in 1st grade and above are required to follow the CPCS guidelines for school uniforms. Uniforms are to be purchased at Risse Brothers , located on 5100 West Cypress Street in Tampa PH# 813-282-8338.
WHAT IS YOUR TUITION PAYMENT SCHEDULE?
You may choose to pay annually or on a 10 month (August through May) payment plan. Accounts must be current for students to remain at CPCS and before report cards, records, or other information can be released to a requesting school.
